All kinds of things ...

Like any Christian community MCU members are interested in a wide range of matters.

Events across the world are always of concern. Members have reflected on 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the re-election of George W. Bush, and vanishing voters amongst other things.

Smaller matters frequently burst on the media and are gone in a moment - but not before we have had time to comment on them: Jerry Springer - the Opera, for example, and Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ.

Other, linked, organizations are described: the Centre for Radical Christianity in Sheffield, SCM (and SCM's Young People's Pack), the the United Reformed Church's group Free to Believe.

And closer sadness is acknowledged with an obituary of Professor William Frend, for over 50 years a member of the MCU.
